We keep doing research in order to improve our fundamental nursing education. Students can understand characteristics of different nursing areas, receive coaching until they can work independently. By collecting data of successful cases and the process behind, we try to enhance our education. The data we collected this time is about the teaching method of 3rd year students of Nursing Department, with the teacher in charge following their progress for a whole year. The details and the results are being collected. For the overall picture of this teaching method, theoretical education bears large proportion in the 1st half year and internship in hospitals is held in the 2nd half year. During the internship, mentally support is our main role. In order to provide further support, 4 improvements listed below have to be achieved. 1. Communicate with students' families frequently hence to provide mentally support from both sides 2. More focus on the support of job hunting and passing Nurse National Exam 3. Secure effective time for both students and instructors 4. Make use of ICT(ICT = Information and Communication Technology) to increase efficiency |
